Generally no — middle school grades don't appear on your official high school transcript or count toward your high school GPA. The exception is high-school-level classes taken in 8th grade (like Algebra I or a foreign language), which sometimes do count, depending on your district.

Not for college admissions. But a strong middle school average is a good sign you're prepared for high school coursework, and some districts use middle school grades for placement into Honors/Gifted tracks in 9th grade.

Middle school doesn't typically use weighted GPA (Honors/AP bonus points) or credit hours — every class usually counts equally. This calculator reflects that simpler reality.
